Sojo Bistro

A great find!! We were looking for a place to have a cup of tea and this was perfect!! A lovely place to catch up with friends. We then stayed later and ordered some small plates with drinks. It has a great ambiance and it’s open all day. I would definitely return and try out the Sunday roast!! It’s such a great asset for Acomb!

First time we have been here came with friends, the food was excellent and extremely well priced as were the drinks. Lovely friendly staff good service and not rushed. We will certainly return.

We both had the Sunday lunch 'roast beef', when it came out the beef was very rare which we dont mind but was under the rare side, and we only got 1 slice and a half slice, which we thought was normal size but the next table ordered the same and they both had 2 full thicker slices of beef, the veg and Yorkshire puddings were very nice, gravy was a bit thin. I did enjoy it but I dont think I'd go back for Sunday lunch.

Went at 1145 and it was empty, but that just means super quick personal service. Music selection spot on too for a bistro. Excellent drinks and pastries, nice touch with the biscoff on the side. Not seen in many places anymore. Breakfast was awesome - nicely done all round, good value too. Really have no issues at all. Would recommend to anyone in the Acomb area.

A Taste of Greece in the Heart of Acomb! We recently had the pleasure of attending Greek Night at Sojo’s in Acomb, York, and what an absolute treat it was! From start to finish, the experience was divine. The food — crafted by the talented Chef Philip — was bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavour. Every dish was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully presented. The Greek wine and beer pairings elevated the entire meal, enhancing every bite with perfect balance and flair. The evening was made even more special by the warm and welcoming hospitality of Sophie and Joe, who hosted the night with such charm and attention to detail. The atmosphere was spot on — lively, relaxed, and full of heart. It truly felt like we’d been transported to a Greek taverna. Sojo’s is a real gem, and Greek Night was an unforgettable experience. Huge credit to Chef Philip and hosts Sophie and Joe for creating something so special. We’ll definitely be back. Highly Recommend!

Our first time at sojo tonight and what an experience. Beautifully decorated, great customer service and the food was outstanding. We tried quite a few items on the menu including the cheese fondue which of course we dipped everything in to. We had a few cocktails aswell which were refreshing and very tasty. We met the owner who came over and chatted to us about the other events that hapeen throughout the week. Highly recommend!!! We will be coming back here very soon

Absolutely great place. Been meaning to go for a while. Warm welcome, great menu, spotlessly clean. Relaxed atmosphere and service. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending.
